I’m honoured to have attended CYDES 2025, organized by the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), Malaysia, as a conference delegate — joining cybersecurity professionals, AI experts, government officials, industry leaders and global innovators at Southeast Asia’s leading platform for cyber resilience: the ASEAN Cyber Security Forum 2025, held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

As a Ph.D. researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Forensics and an active cybersecurity professional, this experience sharpened my perspective on how AI and cybersecurity must co-evolve to address complex global threats. The fusion of ethical AI design with cybersecurity frameworks will define the future of digital trust and resilience.

One of the standout takeaways was observing how Malaysia and ASEAN nations are pioneering regional innovation strategies while advancing secure, ethical and inclusive digital infrastructures.

Representing the Nigerian AI and cybersecurity landscape, I am deeply inspired to translate the knowledge, strategies and insights gained at CYDES 2025 into impactful local action. I aim to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growing tech and cyber ecosystem, fostering safer digital spaces and AI-powered solutions for both public and private sectors.

I look forward to collaborating with like-minded professionals, researchers and institutions across Nigeria and beyond to co-create a secure digital future driven by responsible innovation.
